Meet the Teams

• Water Polo

  Women's Teams:

  BWPL - Playing in Division One of the British Water Polo League, our senior women's first team consists of players who have been a part of Hucknall as junior players, played in National Academy and Squad programmes, and those playing for their university. The team has won the Championship 1 title three times in the past six years, and even making it to the Super 5's competition in 2022/23. The team is coached by Tim Dunsbee and Sarah Dunsbee.

  Wakefield - Our women's Wakefield and District League team is comprised of both our senior players and our upcoming junior players, giving our younger players some more match time at a higher level, with experienced senior players helping to guide them through the matches.

   

  Men's Teams:

  BWPL - Playing in Division Three of the British Water Polo League, our men's BWPL squad is made up of senior players, university team members, and elite level junior players who have been a part of National Academy and Squad programmes. The team had a strong 2022/23 season leading them to start the first half of 2023/24 in Division Two. The team is coached by Tom Wall and Joe Leveridge.

  Wakefield and Notts League - Teams comprised of both senior and junior level players, bringing together their experience and willing to play more matches against higher level competition.

   

  Junior Teams:

  Junior players are given the opportunity to play at tournaments and competition set ups such as National Age Groups and local club tournaments, as well as playing in either u14 or u16 Wakefield league matches. The teams are coached by Sarah Dunsbee and Joe Leveridge.
